Marissa Ciorciari is an integrative nutrition practitioner with over 15 years experience, helping those who suffer from gas, bloating and abdominal discomfort, to leaky gut to managing their autoimmune conditions. Her approach is using a "Food as Medicine" philosophy to treat Inflammatory conditions in & outside the digestive tract. Marissa’s experience as a clinician, clinical manager, nutrition professor, and business owner have all enabled her to find her true happiness – helping those get to the root causes of health issues and reduce symptoms in their path to health & healing.
Patients of Marissa come refusing a band-aid approach to their health, often dealing with chronic disease and symptoms like bloating, migraines and headaches, skin problems, and digestive disorders. Marissa specializes in treating conditions related to the digestive system, women’s health and wellness, food sensitivities, and plant based lifestyles. As a Certified LEAP therapist, Marissa specializes in adverse reactions with foods, and helps people sort out food sensitivities vs. allergenic or intolerances with foods to help manage their symptoms and health. Being plant-based herself for 20+ years, Marissa supports and guides those interested in adapting a more natural and holistic lifestyle.
Marissa holds 2 degrees in nutrition, receiving her bachelor’s degree in nutritional sciences from University of Connecticut in 2004 and graduate degree from Rutger’s University in 2009 with her Master’s in Clinical Nutrition. She is certified in adult weight management, and is board certified in Integrative and Functional Nutrition.
Marissa has appeared in several media outlets as a nutrition expert, including Good Morning Maryland, Fox 29 Philadelphia news, WMBM “Medical Hour,” and several print and online magazines. She is an active member of the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy, Miami Dietetic Association, LEAP therapists group, and American College of Nutrition.
When she is not helping people find their nutritional balance, Marissa is enjoying life raising her little girl Mia, traveling around the world in search of great cuisine, scuba diving, and experimenting in her kitchen.
