Top Specialties: Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis, IBS, Gastroparesis, Celiac, Functional Gut Disorders, SIBO, Gastrectomy surgery
For the past 20 years I have specialized in gastrointestinal disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome, celiac disease, gastroparesis (delayed gastric emptying), functional gut disorders, and SIBO, as well as recovery from gastric cancer surgery. I have a special interest in working with people who have Crohn’s and Ulcerative colitis as part of the IBD Center at UWMC.
I understand how frustrating sorting out diet information can be and I like helping people find the right diet to achieve and maintain good health. I have worked as a freelance writer and authored the chapter “Diet and Nutrition in the Treatment of Crohn’s Disease” in the textbook Crohn’s Disease: Basic Principles.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, cycling, reading, and cooking. Tennis is the sport that truly brings me joy and I compete on as many teams as time allows. Most of all, I am passionate about spending time with my husband, sons, dog, kitty, and friends.
